Happy fox holding up a card with five stars

A real widget, live from our CDN in the EU. Example: a café in Berlin.

This is how it looks on your website

The widget above is loading live from our CDN in the EU right now, just like it will later on your website. Here you see the same reviews of the Berlin café as a star badge.

This is the whole embed code:

<div data-widget-fox="testlauf-en"></div>
<script src="https://cdn.widget-fox.com/widget.js" defer></script>

You choose the template in the dashboard, and the embed code stays the same.

Why Widget Fox loads differently

Instead of every visitor knocking on Google's door themselves, Widget Fox fetches the reviews for you and serves them from the EU.

With many embeds

VisitorGoogle

Every time someone opens your website, their browser connects to Google.

With Widget Fox

VisitorServers in the EU

Widget Fox fetches your reviews, daily on the Pro plan and weekly on the Free plan, and stores them together with profile pictures on servers in the EU. Your visitors' browsers load the widget only from there and do not connect to Google.

On your website in three steps

  1. A fox uses a magnifying glass to look for a business on a map1

    Find your profile

Enter the name of your business. Widget Fox finds your Google profile and fetches your public reviews.

  2. A fox paints stars onto a widget preview with a brush and a color palette2

    Choose a design

Pick a layout, a color and a light or dark look that fits your website.

  3. A fox puts a puzzle piece into a browser window with five stars3

    Add the code

Add two lines of code to your website. After that, the widget keeps itself up to date.

Questions and answers

I don't know much about websites. Can I embed it myself?

You search for your business, choose the design and copy two lines of code into your website. You don't need to program anything. Your website has to allow your own HTML code with a script. The best way to find out whether your website builder allows this is to check its settings or help pages first.

Why doesn't my visitors' browser connect to Google?

With many embeds, the browser loads the reviews straight from Google. Widget Fox fetches your public reviews itself, daily on the Pro plan and weekly on the Free plan, and stores them together with profile pictures on servers in the EU. Your visitors load the widget only from there. Google only opens when someone clicks “Write a review” themselves.

Is Pro worth €9 a month?

Do the math: Pro costs €72 a year on the yearly plan, or €9 a month on the monthly plan, which is €108 a year. If the widget brings you just one extra job, guest or patient in a year who is worth more than your subscription, it has paid for itself. You also get up to 5 widgets, the daily sync and a widget without the Widget Fox notice.

What if I don't like Pro?

Then send us a short email within 30 days of purchase and you get your money back. Before that, you can try Widget Fox on the Free plan.

Is the Free plan enough to get started?

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 widget with 200 views per month, syncs your reviews weekly and shows a small Widget Fox notice. For up to 5 widgets, the daily sync and a widget without the notice, switch to Pro.

What is a view?

A view is one load of your widget in a visitor's browser. The Free plan includes 200 views per month, Pro includes unlimited views (fair-use limit: 1 million per month).

Will the widget slow down my website?

The widget weighs about 10 KB compressed and comes with its reviews and images from our CDN in the EU. How fast your page loads overall also depends on your website.

Do I need a password?

No. You log in with a login link that we send you by email.
